Real Wedding: Farrah and Clayton
Hello Ladies,
We are sharing the intimate photo shoot from Farrah and Clayton’s wedding.  Our couple flew in Cristina G Photography from Chicago, a Best of the knot winner in 2011 and 2012.   The wedding took place at Mechanic’s Hall in Worcester, MA. The morning started out with rain and turned into a beautiful Massachusetts Spring Wedding Day.  This Pakistani bride and her groom popped out of the pictures.  The natural setting of green landscape and stone building against the bright red and gold lengha of the bride is spectacular.  Enjoy! We will be back on Monday with the Bridal Party Shoot!  You are not going to want to miss the purple bridesmaids outfits!

Stay tuned for the Bridal Party Photo Shoot.

Bachelorette Party Games

We hope you found our Bachelorette planning post helpful!  Now it’s time for the fun stuff!  We are sharing some of our favorite Bachelorette planning games.  It’s always helpful to have a back up plan for the bride if she chooses not to follow through because she feels uncomfortable (doing a dare, taking a shot, you can get really creative).    Enjoy some of our favorite PG-13 rated bachelorette party games:

 You can start the night or weekend by setting up Rules for the weekend.  Some of the most popular rules for the bachelorette is not to say her fiancé’s name over the weekend.  Another rule could be no calling her man.  She cannot say her wedding date.

 Scavenger hunt:  There are endless variations on this.  I’ve been at bachelorette parties where the bride had t as an ld married couple their secret t happiness and others where the bride had to get a pair of boxers.  It’s all dependent on what the bride to be feels comfortable with.  Let all the attendees know before hand so that they can create an item and have time to think of something creative.

Suck for a buck: You can get a T shirt or a tank top.  Write or Iron on “Suck for a Buck”  on it.  Get your lifesaver and dip them in water then Strategically place them on the t-shirt.  They will dry and stick to the t-shirt.  We charged more than a buck for certain lifesavers.

Deck of Dares: This is similar to the scavenger hunt.  You can buy a  ready made deck at a party store or have the attendees create your own dares for the bride to be. You can use this deck if your bachelorette refuses to do another game or as a penalty deck.

 Bubble gum game: You can ask her fiancé a list of questions about himself before hand.  You can ask the bachelorette the questions and for everyone she gets wrong she has to start chewing a piece of bubble gum.  Watch her try and stuff her mouth.

Panty game: Each of us bought a pair pf panties for our bachelorette.  She had to guess who bought them for her.  We included a pair of granny panties in the mix.  If she  makes a mistake she can opt for a dare or a shot.  This tends to be better suited for meal time or a chill time.

There are plenty more to play, we’ve kept this list pretty tame.  Here is a site we found that had a comprehensive list of games.

Bachelorette Party Planning
Good Morning Ladies,
Bachelorette party and Bridal shower season is in Full swing.  Today’s post is dedicated to the Bachelorette Party, don’t worry we will follow up with a Bridal Shower post in next few weeks.
We want to know what you ladies are planning.  Where are you going?  What games are you playing?  Do you have a theme for the party? Is it a one night only event? A weekend in the city? Or maybe a vacation getaway?

Planning these weekends is no easy task!  Just watch the movie Bridesmaids and you can relate to the funny antics and sometimes the friction between different groups of friends. We want to help you ladies out!  This year is a busy year in weddings for me I am involved in planning multiple bachelorette parties and bridal showers (it’s a good thing I love planning). After just coming back from Vegas for a bachelorette party, helpful tips are on my mind.
Before you even begin planning, the Maid of Honor should ask the bride what she envisions for her bachelorette party. Who are essential people that NEED to be there. Create a spreadsheet with your bride’s availability and then send it to the ladies that NEED to be there. Remember if you are planning a trip, you should try to secure a date at least 5 months out.

Also, remember your bride is dealing with a lot on her plate, so make her life a little easier and have only one or two people that follow up with her to ask her questions when they arise.  We’ve made a quick list of questions to help get them all out of the way initially so you ideally won’t have to keep going back.
Figure out what people’s budgets are. This doesn’t need to be public, but you can have one person in charge of collecting responses and then letting the group know what the range should be. Often times people want to help and they just don’t know how. Send out the tasks and let people pick what they want. Here are things that are going to need some planning. Choosing your hotel, restaurants, games to play, overall theme, fun things for the bride to wear, money person, places to go out, day activities, creating the overall timeline.
Come back next week when we share our Favorite bachelorette party games.  What are your bachelorette party destinations and favorite games.

Engagement Session: Rishi and Shruti

Engagement Session: Rishi and Shruti
Good Morning Lovelies,
Today’s post is Rishi and Shruti’s Engagement session! We absolutely love the photos! Nicole Chan Photography did an amazing job! “If the the name isn’t familiar, then get familiar” is what I was told by Rishi. He was not lying, just take a look at the shoot and you will remember the name Nicole Chan Photography.Nicole Chan Photography. Nicole has written the rest of the blog for today to share a little bit about her.
I love photography because it allows me to make the intangible, tangible. With this clunky black thing, I’m able to preserve feelings and memories for my couples: The deep exhales as he pulls her in for a big hug, the way her stomach knots up because she laughs too hard, or the way she fits perfectly in his arms. To me, it’s the most fulfilling thing I’ve ever done in my entire life.

;

I’ve always gravitated towards people. I’m a naturally curious person, usually probing for interesting stories about their relationship. I find myself genuinely interested in my couples / new friends. I think that these traits

;

have allowed me to easily connect with my couples, who often come to me as complete strangers. This trust and chemistry brings me to create images that I feel are meaningful and significant.

If I were to be photographed, I’d want someone who would create images that represent me. In order for him/her to do so, she’d have to know me, understand me, and really “get” me. I strive to capture reflective and meaningful photographs. I pour my heart and soul into capturing moments to tell not only the wedding day story, but to show what makes a relationship between two people special. I believe that wedding photography should be reflective of two people and their love for one another. Love takes lots of different forms: romantic, comical, carefree, casual, intimate, sexy, sultry, or just plain silly.

We saved the best for last! Doesn’t this last shot, by Nicole Chan Photography make you want to cuddle up next to your cutie?! If you would like to submit your engagement shoot for our site please email us at info@Shaadi-Bazaar.com Leave a comment and let the couple know how much you loved their Engagement Session in Boston and Cambridge.

Earth Day Beauty Finds

Good Afternoon Brides,

We are huge supporters of helping the environment and doing our part at Shaadi Bazaar.  In honor of Earth Day many companies have launched beauty products that are created with sustainable ingredients and/or have proceeds go towards a charity that helps the environment. We can’t share all the products here otherwise you might need to carve out an hour just to get through them all, but we will give you the links to other blogs that have them.

Kiehl’s created the Limited Edition Label Art series in honor of Earth Day.  The limited edition Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque with lids designed by celebrity contributors Spike Lee, Florence Welch, Mark Ruffalo, and Rosario Dawson are available through April.  The Masque has ingredients like oatmeal and aloe vera soothe and hydrate your skin. . In addition to donating $100,000 to non-profit organization Recycle Across America, the net profits of this beauty find with be donated.  The Masque  ($23 each) is available  at Kiehl’s stores.  They are also offering free products in exchange for returned empty bottles.

Philosophy created a  lush bath gel. The scent of fresh pear imbues this 3-in-1 shampoo, shower gel and bubble bath by Philosophy. Multitasking bath products cut down on the number of bottles under the bathroom sink that eventually end up in the trash. Net proceeds from the sale of Green go to the Rainforest Foundation. $20

The glam, natural ingredients-based makeup company, Tarte, created  the perfect Earth Day beauty kit.  For every one of the limited edition Down to Earth Kits sold, Tarte will donate 20% of the proceeds to WineToWater.org, which provides clean drinking water to communities in need all over the globe.  The products in this kit include ingredients like Amazonian Clay.

We love Lush products here at Shaadi Bazaar.  These vegan-friendly, preservative-free solid shampoos are perfect for travelers. The colorful bars work up a thick and fragrant lather that leaves hair soft, rejuvenated and shiny.  One bar is equivalent to three 8-ounce shampoo bottles, so every time a solid shampoo bar is used, three bottles are kept from the landfill. They can be packed in a Shampoo Bar Tin (made from recycled aluminum) and placed in carry-on luggage. Bars $10.95, tins $3.95.  www.lushusa.com.
