Father Daughter Dance Songs
The term ‘Daddy’s Little Girl’ has been around for ages and since you don’t normally see the father walk the bride down the aisle and give her away at South Asian weddings, the Father/Daughter dance is that one sweet moment that you can share with dear ol’ dad.Of course most of our dads can’t break it down like this- http://www.youtube.com/watch?
Here are some great tips for planning your Father/Daughter dance:
- Do you want to dance to the whole song or just a small portion? Do you want to do a medley of something slow and fast?
- Do you have a favorite memory with your dad that involves a song?
- Make sure to listen to the lyrics and if you love a song but there are a couple lines that don’t work, see if you can shorten it or tell the DJ to start it later.
- Think about taking ballroom dancing classes if you want to do something a little more choreographed.
- Make sure your dad has a copy of the song so he can listen and practice on his own.
- Try to practice with your dad a few times before the wedding.
